We are seeking a experienced Staff Accountant with prior work history maintaining accurate monthly financial statements and reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly account reconciliations for various asset and liability accounts
• Prepare assigned journal entries during month-end close
• Create jobs in the accounting system for various properties
• Review processing of Accounts Payable which includes but not limited to approvals, lien waivers, commitment, cash disbursements etc.
• Responsible for researching complex accounting transactions
• Work with internal and external auditors to ensure timely completion of the audit
• Prepare ad hoc reports, as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience and Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related area
• 3+ years Construction/Homebuilding experience required
• Knowledge of US GAAP
• Must be able to work in a fast pace environment with a strong sense of urgency
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Advance PC skills, including the use of Excel and Access
• Ability to communicate and interact with various levels of staff
• Strong work ethic able to work independently as well as be a team player
