Partnering with internal customers and internal/external stakeholders to engage as a team and ensure a timely handover will be part of your critical tasks. Amazon is seeking an industry proven and detail-oriented Project Engineer for the design, build, and continuous improvement of our order fulfillment infrastructure. Successful candidates are natural self-starters who have prior engineering experience in the integrated automation project life cycle, including their development, design, implementation, enhancement, and support. This individual ideally has directly managed the execution of large capital automation projects with a cumulative spend of less than $5MM and high schedule commitments. Our Project Engineers must be agile with the ability to quickly adapt strategies, plans, and solutions in response to dynamic business requirements. They also must be comfortable interfacing and driving various functional teams and individuals at all levels of the organization. As a Project Engineer for Amazon, you will work with some of the most talented engineers in the design, development, and delivery of physical distribution systems around the globe. You are responsible for managing a technology or integration project, successfully delivering the solution to meet project goals within schedule, budget, safety, and quality targets. You may work directly with external equipment vendors, customers, partners, internal customers, and stakeholders to provide technical expertise. You have a solid understanding of the design approaches and industry technologies utilized in fulfillment and distribution center designs to analyze, deep dive, and improve systems performance. To meet timelines and minimize disruption to support teams, you manage the overall schedule, proactively mitigate risks, and keep the scope of engineering deliverables under control.
