Material Handler
Position Summary:
The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of raw materials, finished products, and equipment within the facility. This role involves operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment, maintaining accurate records, and supporting overall warehouse operations.
Required Certifications:
Order Picker / Forklift License
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment.
Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
Ensure proper packaging of all outgoing products.
Process shipments in accordance with company procedures and shipping regulations.
Review shipping notices, bills of lading, and orders to determine priorities and methods.
Assemble and prepare boxes, cartons, and pallets for shipping.
Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.
Identify, segregate, and report defective materials.
Perform general housekeeping and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Follow all company health and safety policies, reporting incidents immediately.
Support and participate in ISO, 6S, and Lean initiatives.
Provide training to team members as required.
Assist with additional tasks as directed by supervisors or team leads.
Consistently meet or exceed productivity and quality targets.
Qualifications:
Valid forklift certification (Order Picker required).
CPR certification.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to lift [insert weight requirement, e.g., 50 lbs] and perform physical tasks in a warehouse environment.
Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced setting.
Previous warehouse or shipping/receiving experience considered an asset.
