Metal Building Erector - Crew Foreman

Location: Columbus, Tx – Travel to job sites required

About the Role

We’re building our own in-house erection crew — and we need a leader who thrives on results, precision, and accountability . As Crew Foreman, you’ll run the job from the ground up, ensuring every project hits schedule, meets quality standards, and is built safely and efficiently.

This role is for someone who takes charge, stays organized under pressure, and holds people to a high standard . If you like setting the pace, solving problems on the fly, and making sure nothing slips through the cracks, this is your crew.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a crew in erecting pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB) from start to finish.
  
• Plan daily work sequences to maximize productivity and hit milestones.
  
• Read, interpret, and enforce construction plans, drawings, and manufacturer specs.
  
• Maintain strict safety and quality control on site.
  
• Inspect and verify work at each phase before moving to the next.
  
• Coordinate directly with the Project Manager for materials, equipment, and scheduling.
  
• Motivate and direct crew members to perform at their best.
  
• Keep accurate daily reports, headcounts, and production logs.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven leadership experience in PEMB erection or similar steel construction.
  
• High standards for accuracy, organization, and follow-through .
  
• Confident decision-making in the field — knows when to move fast and when to slow down for quality.
  
• Ability to coach and correct crew members while maintaining productivity.
  
• Strong understanding of construction safety requirements.
  
• Capable of working at heights and in variable weather.
