Let's talk! LHH Recruitment Solutions is searching for a Medical Authorizations Specialist for a contract opportunity with a well-renowned healthcare organization based out of Indianapolis, IN!

Responsibilities
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and determine the need for prior authorization based on the type of medical service or procedure.
  • Submit authorization requests to insurance providers, including all required clinical documentation and coding details.
  • Track and follow up on pending authorizations to ensure timely approval and prevent delays in patient care.
  • Communicate authorization outcomes to healthcare providers, patients, and billing teams, and assist with appeals if coverage is denied.

Requirements
  • Prior experience in home care DME, enteral nutrition, or infusion required .
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with requesting medical insurance authorizations  required.  
  • Prior experience working in a physician's office, clinic, hospital, home care, or DME company required.
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required .

Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM M-F

Job Type: ~6-month contract & Full-time (40 hrs/wk)

Pay Details: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour
