Food & Beverage Host

JOB SUMMARY

As a food & beverage host, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking items to the highest quality standards, be a creative and enthusiastic bartender, and provide a friendly and hospitable guest experience. Working closely with the kitchen team, you will contribute to the overall success of the hotel's dining experience by delivering delicious and visually appealing food & beverage options.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for food preparations tasks, keeping up with our changing menu.

• Plan and present bar menu; take accurate orders and provide high-quality service and verify identification in accordance to state/federal laws and regulations.
• Assess guests needs and preferences, making recommendations/accommodations, as needed.
• Collect payment, balance receipts, and run reports following hotel policies and procedures.

• Manage, restock, and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.
• Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.
• Maintains a clean, tidy, and sanitary work environment at all times.
• Stores and rotates all products properly.
• Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.
• Complies to rules and supports the manager or supervisor on duty.
• Not a full-service kitchen, mainly continental with prepping needs.
• Other duties, as assigned by Management.

* Servsafe Certification preferred *

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 years of experience is required or certificate of completion for Culinary in kitchen preparation and cooking or any experience with volume production.
• Clear communication skills, works well under supervision.
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 25 pounds.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
• Weekends a must; schedule ranges from 3–4 days per week with shifts between 12PM and 12AM.
