Overview:
A leading healthcare services provider is seeking an experienced Clinical Nutrition Manager to lead the nutrition program at a newly constructed acute care hospital in Grand Forks, North Dakota. This role blends patient-facing care with leadership, operations, and quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the clinical nutrition team, including 4 Dietitians and 5 Diet Clerks across inpatient and outpatient settings
Provide direct patient care approximately 20% of the time
Manage menu planning systems and collaborate with foodservice operations
Ensure readiness for regulatory audits and maintain accreditation standards
Drive continuous improvement in patient nutrition care and department performance
Foster a culture of development and career growth within the team
Required Qualifications:
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), or eligibility within 120 days of hire
Completion of an ACEND-accredited program (Bachelor’s or Master’s)
Licensure or certification as required by the state of practice
Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting
Minimum 13 months of supervisory or management experience
Proven success in regulatory compliance and performance improvement
Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field
Experience with CBORD or similar menu/meal planning software
Familiarity with Joint Commission readiness and hospital accreditation
